Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation and constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Plans and statement of work will be available for download on our web site: www.mvs.usace.army.mil ( advertised solicitations). Solicitation No. DACW43-02-T-7008. Item No. 0001, 1 Lump Sum, to (1) Unload all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) wire and cable when it is shipped to the site (on or about 2 Jan 02). (2) Megger test all cables prior to ac ceptance from the Government. Fiber Optic cables shall be given reflectometer tests. (3) Remove all existing circuits in the damaged area. (4) Test all conduit and raceway to insure readiness for cable installation. (5) Install GFE wire and cable to include supporting and racking of such and all miscellaneous material and workmanship as required for proper installation of these circuits. A Formal Circuit Listing is provided to guid the Offeror in the installation. (6) Megger test all circuits afte r installation. Fiber Optic circuits will be tested with a reflectometer. (7) Termination of all wire and cable, including fiber optic cable. (8) Operational test of all new circuits upon completion of work. Equipment and installation shall conform t o the applicable safety and health standards promulgated pursuant to the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 which are in effect 30 days prior to the date of quotation. All work including testing shall be completed not later than 8 February 2002. A SITE VISIT is strongly recommended prior to quoting this job. Site visits will be permitted between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Call Mike Quinn or Jerry Stroud at 636-566-8120 for appointment.
