Description

The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, intends to offer Timber Sales on the Eglin AFB Reservation. Work will consist of harvesting all slash, loblolly, longleaf and sand pine. There are 18 harvest units separated into two sales (each a separate contract line item number -- CLIN) of approximately 276 and 183 acres and containing 10,840 and 11,090 tons respectively. Harvest units are made up of clearcuts in four 50 year old slash pine plantations, strip clearcuts along roads in mixed natural pine stands; and one selectively marked slash, loblolly and longleaf pine stand. Harvest units are not in "closed areas". This is notification to interested parties. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-02-B-0001. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this sale is 113310. The size standard for the NAICS code is 500 employees.
