Description

Furnish flight services fully contractor operated and maintained, consisting of one helicopter AS350, Bell 407, or equal in support of retrieval of smokejumpers, transportation of personnel and cargo for remote radio site maintenance and initial attack and suppression of wildland fires for the Bureau of Land management, Alaska Fire Service. Contract is for 90 days beginning May 24, 2002. The term of this contract will be one year with options to renew for an additional three years. Designated Base is Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. Contractor is required to be certified under 14 CFR, Chapter 135, Air Taxi Operators and Commercial Operators. A definite bid opening date has not been set but should be approximately February 14, 2002.
