Description

REPAIR OF MOTOROLA SECURE TELEPHONE UNITS, TYPE 3 (STU III); REPLACE PLUG-IN ADAPTORS WITH SCREW-ON ADAPTORS; REPAIR POWER SUPPLIES AND CHANGE 50% OF POWER SUPPLIES TO SCREW-ON ADAPTORS. The solicitation number is F33601-02-T-0022. The proposed contract is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is General Dynamics Decision Systems, with repair work being performed at Motorola Service Depot, Phoenix, AZ. The government anticipates a sole source award to General Dynamics Decision Systems because of compatibility and interchangeability of replacement parts and the unique capability needed for repair of Motorola Brand Communications Security (COMSEC) Equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within five (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be faxed to Helen Williams, 88 ABW/PKSB, 937-257-3926 no later than Friday, 30 Nov 01. Only facsimile proposals sent to this number will be considered.
