Description
69 -- The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division has a requirement to overhaul the Trident Ship Control Trainer, located at the Trident Training Facility at Kings Bay, GA. The requirement consists of two basic components. The first component is to overhaul the trainer's hydraulic drive system. This effort will include the removal and replacement of all hydraulic seals, gaskets, o-rings, and other soft material, hydraulic fluids, refurbishment/replacement of all hydraulic valves, cylinders, pumps and motors, recalibration/replacement of all instrumentation and replacement of sample ports. The second component of the effort is to replace the trainer's Motion System Electronics Cabinet (MSEC) with a functionally equivalent product. The MSEC has become technologically obsolete. The MSEC contains the electronic logic necessary to control, monitor, and test the motion platform and drive system. The MSEC currently has Card File Assemblies (CFAs) for pitch and roll, which incorporate servo amplifiers, hydraulic system voltage, safety interlocks, and performance monitoring circuits to ensure the platform motion can be safely initiated and closely monitor for faulty operation. It is anticipated that both components of this requirement will be acquired through a single contract. Companies should respond by sending a list of similar jobs successfully completed.
