Description

The army requires a contract to provide Laundry Services for the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. The service will include but not necessarily be limited to the following: Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, equipme nt, tools, materials, supplies and transportation necessary to perform all phases of laundry service for Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, GA. All phases of laundry operations shall be conducted at a contractor owned-contractor operated facility that is fully equipped with equipment of such design and operational features as to specifically handle army linen, military gear (TA-50), and uniforms. The plant shall be staffed and managed/supervised by personnel fully knowledgeable of what equipment, wash p rocedures, drying procedures, and etc are required to meet the unique requirements for processing military laundry, unless otherwise specified herein. No portion of the laundry operation shall be performed on Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield. This acqu isition is unrestricted with Hubzone Price Evaluation Preference. All responsible businesses may submit a bid that will be considered. The SIC Code is 7219. The NAICS Code is 812332. Service shall commence on 1 March 2002 and continue through 28 Februar y 2003. This contract contains an option to extend the term of the contract for an additional four (4) one year periods. Bid opening date and time will be established and placed on the solicitation at the time of issue (See Block #10 above). Paper copies w ill not be available.
