Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the dockside repairs of USCGC BOUTWELL (WHEC 719), a 378? cutter, homeported in Alameda, CA. All work shall be performed at the contractor?s facilities, during the period of 26 March 2002 through 17 May 2002. Work items to include: production control Gantt chart, gear locker deck renewal CSMP 01005, galley deck repair-CSMP01001, fan space deck renewal ? CSMP01010, boiler exhaust stack uptake commercial clean, main diesel engine exhaust stack uptake commercial clean, ship service diesel generator exhaust stack uptake commercial clean, engine room overhead cable replacement, inspect and test IC switchboard & 400 HZ circuit breakers, firemain valves >=3D2.5 inches overhaul, evaporator overhaul, steam isolation valve overhaul (greater than 2.5 inches), anchor windlass level 2 inspection and test, warping capstan level 2 inspection and test, laundry space renovation, temporary services, etc. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be issued on or about 15 December 2001. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation, specifications and other notifications can also be accessed on the web site: www.eps.gov. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantage Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
