Description

The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award Spectra Physics, on other than full and open competitive basis, the purchase of 1 PRO230-10 Nd:YAG laser with ESM-TSA enhanced spatial mode for Ti: sapphire amplifier pumping, HG-4A KD*P second harmonic generator and IHS-532 mounted dichroic pair. Specifications: 10 Hz, 500 mJ @ 532 nm with ESM-TSA, 1250 mJ at 10 Hz, Dual rod oscillator plus amplifier system, Quick-change flash-lamps, Pulse durations of 2.5 ns, 8 ns and long pulse 150 us for alignment, Low thermal expansion graphite resonator, Simmered flash-lamps, Q-Switch Marx Bank driver, Integral harmonic generation and separation, Upgradeable to 50Hz and injection seeding, Dual level dust protection, Compact IGBT Technology power supply, Quick disconnect water and electrical lines, water to water heat exchanger, and Q-switch delay programmable from remote control. Sole source is based on Spectra Physics having the exclusive technologies to manufacture this equipment and to integrate it to the existing lasers in use at NRL. See note(s) 22.
