Description

A/E service to provide working drawings specifications and cost estimate at 50% and 100% design stages for Utility Plant Upgrade at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 508 Fulton St., Durham, NC. This project will replace an existing cooling tower and controls, two cooling tower condenser water filter systems. three boiler burners, two feedwater pumps, a chemical injection system for boilers, and a water softener for boiler feedwater. All work to be performed for this project must meet all National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); National Electric Code (NEC); Underwriters Laboratory Inc. (UL); Federal State and Local regulations and codes; and JCAHO standards and guidelines. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. All interested firms are required to submit their 254 and 255 no later than COB 12/28/01. Area of consideration is within a 50 mile radius fo the medical center. This is an Emerging Small Business Set-Aside.
