Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 421690. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 dated 16 May 2001. The procurement for the demolition of existing and installation of a new Electronic Reader Board for the DV Lounge (Bldg. 1721) area to be done according to the following specifications: 0001: a. The contractor shall remove the existing sign entirely. The removed sign shall be turned over to the Government at a place designated by the user. b. Manufacture and install 1ea. 1 sided Electronic Reader Board. The Reader Board shall meet the following specifications: 1. The sign shall be a Single Color Hi-Resolution Sun Blazer by Hi-Tech Electronics (Equal or Better), with weather proof Bronzed Anodized Aluminum casing and all required hardware, heated, fans, auto dimming with a 140 degree viewing angle. 2. Overall size shall be + -- 4'X 8' installed to create a single sided display with a Master to facilitate down loading different information to the sign. 3. 6 lines of text 6" characters with 13 characters per line, 3 lines of text 10 characters per line 12.3" high and 2 lines of text with 6 characters per line 42.9" high. 4. PC-Max Animation and Graphics Software IBM Compatible. 5. Ember L.E.D. 6. On site installation, supervision and training. 7. PC Max/ComPlay Windows Software. 8. Internal sign Modem and X Modem. a. The contractor shall manufacture and install on the existing concrete pad. b. The sign shall be mounted on 2ea. 4" X 4" X 6' steel tube with 10" X 8" X =BD" steel plate mounted on the concrete base. c. Enclose the sides and back of the sign with aluminum sheathing painted russet brown by Glidden (Equal or Better). d. The contractor shall manufacture and install a box type sign for the top of the reader board. The sign shall be 2' X 8' X 12" deep. Saddle frame skeleton. Painted russet brown, lettering shall be reflective yellow with two each full color AF Shields. Quotations that do not include prices for all of the CLIN will not be considered. The following provisions and clauses apply to this procurement: FAR 52.212-2, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial, FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation- Commercial Items, the evaluation factors to be included in paragraph (a) are "Technical capability of the item, Price and Past Performance", FAR 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items (all offerors shall include a completed copy of this provision with their proposal); FAR 52.212-4- Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5- Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items.(in paragraph (b) the following clauses apply; FAR 52.22-21, FAR 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52-222-36, 52.222-37), FAR 52.204-6, Contractor Identification Number- Date Universal Numbering System DUNS Number, FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration (CCR), DFARS 252.204-7001, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code Reporting and DFARS 252.204-7004, required Contractor Registration (Mar 1998).
