Description

Sealed biding procedures will be utilized to determine the successful party wishing to harvest, and removal from the site, two items of standing hardwood timber. Item No. 1, consists of approximately 440,100 board feet of standing mixed hardwood sawtimber. Item No. 2 includes approximately 4,979 tons of hardwood pulpwood, with some additional hardwood sawtimber. Both Items are currently located on Fort Custer Reserve Forces Training Site, Augusta, Michigan. The timber must be felled and removed from the installation by April 1, 2002. The public bid opening will be held on December 20, 2001, at 11:00 AM., in the Upstairs Conference Room, Building No. 2605, 26th Street, Fort Custer Reserve Training Site, Augusta, Michigan. Bids submitted by mail must arrive at the following address prior to 3:00 PM. on December 19, 2001: USAED Louisville District, ATTN: CELRL-RE-C, PO Box 59, Louisville, Kentucky 40201-0059. Mailed in bid must have the outside of the envelope clearly marked as containing a "Sealed Bid- DO NOT OPEN".
