Description

Description of Work: Maintenance Dredging, New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway. The plant and equipment to be furnished under this contract includes the Lease of a 12-14 inch hydraulic pipeline dredge with operating personnel and attendant Plant, Tugboat wi th operating personnel, Booster pump, D-4 dozer or equivalent with operator, crawler mounted dragline with operator, barge, steel drainage pipe, sluices and plastic sheeting. Dredging may also be required in waterways adjacent to the New Jersey Intracoast al Waterway. Solicitation documents will be available on the web page on or about 19 December 2001 hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests shall be accepted. Contractors shall download this solicitation (including drawings) and al l amendments (including drawings) from the Internet at the following address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp on or after issue date of the solicitation; The official media of distribution for this solicitation is the WEB PAGE. All required software to download the solicitation documents can be downloaded from the web page under Viewers. Interested contracts must register on the Internet. If any of the contractor s information changes during the advertisement period, contracto rs are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Bidders are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation i ncluding any drawings. Bids will be opened on or about 22 January 2002 at 11:00 am. This procurement is 100 percent set aside for small business. The NAICS Code is 234990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,0 00,000 to $5,000,000 and bonding is required. Affirmative action to insure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Liquidated damages will be specified. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder.
