Description

NOTE: Any prospective bidder/offeror interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this solicitation must register on our website at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the internet after solicitation issuance. Plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Only 50 CDs will be issued. CDs will be issued only to prime contractors and plan rooms on a first come first served basis. Description of Work: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, requires a contract for the widening and resurfacing of 2.2 miles +/- of existing River Road; improving/realigning three intersections, and constructing seven truck pads with explosive barricades and associated entrance roads. Supporting facilities consist of electric service, area lighting, lightning protection, storm drainage, and site improvements. Three additives are included as follows: (1) Construct pad no. 703 and associated berm and entrance road; (2) Construct pad no. 505 and associated berm and entrance road; (3) ) Construct pad no. 702 and associated entrance road (no berm). The estimated cost of the project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Network Analysis will be required. This solicitation is restricted to eligible 8(a) contractors whose Regional SBA Office is located in Region 4. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about December 18, 2001 on the internet at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided.
