CALL FOR PAPERS AND VENDOR PARTICIPATION: -- -- -- -- -- First in a series of two conferences. The Scott-St Louis AFCEA Chapter is sponsoring an Electronic Commerce Conference and Exposition that will address the technology needs of the Scott AFB and the community. The theme of the conference is " Decision Making Tools for the Warfighter" and it will take place 21 February 2002, at the Scott Consolidate Club (Officers Club). In addition to this conference, AFCEA will host their monthly luncheon and meeting in conjunction with the event. AFCEA's conference committee is currently accepting presentation abstracts and exhibit space sponsorships from the government and corporate communities. -- -- -- -- -- WHO WILL ATTEND: Over 500 IT managers, ISSOs, ISSMs, CIOs, IRMs and other technical professionals from throughout all tenant organizations attend the program. The event will be promoted throughout the base and the surrounding community and tenant organizations including The 375th Airlift Wing (Hosting organization at Scott AFB including providing support for all other tenant organizations), The Air Force Communications Agency (Maintains communications and information systems), US Transportation Command, Air Mobility Command, Air Weather Service, and DISA's procurement arm, DITCO (Defense Information Technology Contracting Office). -- -- -- -- -- DEADLINES: We are currently finalizing presenters for panel discussions on "Putting the ISR in C4ISR Linking Intelligence and C4S for the Warfighter" and "Interoperability in a wireless world convergence of wireless LANS, cell phones, and PDAs to DoDs wired-world".
