Description
CALL FOR PAPERS AND VENDOR PARTICIPATION -- -- -- -- -- The Robins AFB AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications Electronic Association) Chapter is sponsoring an information technology conference that will address the technology needs of the Robins AFB community. The conference will be held in conjunction with an AFCEA luncheon. Conference sessions will run throughout the day on the 18th in conjunction with a vendor exposition. The 19th will include an AFCEA golf tournament where vendor sponsorship are available. The event will be marketed throughout the base and the surrounding tenant organizations. The invited organizations include the 5th Combat Comm Squadron, DISA, and AFRC (HQ). The conference committee is currently accepting presentation abstracts and exhibit space contracts from the government and vendor communities. -- -- -- -- -- Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following: Computer Security, Networking, Remote Network Management, ATM, Video Teleconferencing, Database search engines, Database Storage, Securely posting information Digital Signatures, and File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Personal Computers, Networking, VPN (Virtual Private Networking), Portals, Wireless Networking -- -- -- -- -- LOCATION: Robins AFB NCO Club on April 18, 2001. Conference sessions will run 9:00 3:00 and exhibits from 9:30 1:30. -- -- -- -- -- AFCEA is seeking hole sponsors for the AFCEA Golf Tournament that will take place April 19, 2002 (the day after the conference). -- -- -- -- -- Exhibitor investment: $750 to exhibit & $500 for hole sponsorship -- -- -- -- -- AFCEA has selected Technology Forums as the contractor to help produce the event.
