Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to send funding to the Defense Contract Management Agency -- GE Lynn which will allow them to issue orders against Basic Ordering Agreement N00383-00-G-0001 on a sole source basis to General Electric Aircraft Engines for retrofit kits for the T64 and F404 engines. These requirements are as follows: 1. Approximately 360 retrofit kits which contain hardware to retrofit T64-GE-413/416/416A/419 engines with a mid-sump drain system; 2. Approximately 1,054 retrofit kits which contain hardware to retrofit T64-GE-413/416/416A/419 engines with a new anti-leak check valve; 3. Approximately 1,015 retrofit kits which contain hardware to retrofit T64-GE-413/416/416A/419 engines with two additional combustor liner anti-rotation keys and keyways; and 4. Approximately 472 retrofit kits which contain hardware to retrofit the F404-GE-402 engine with a new O-level replaceable slotted flameholder. General Electric Aircraft Engines is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the T64 and F404 engines and is the only source that possesses the necessary technical data, knowledge, experience, and expertise to perform these efforts.
