Description

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Albuquerque Operations Office (AL) intends to procure on a sole source basis, message and maintenance service for DOE/AL's proprietary satellite communication system Mobile Message Communication Terminals (MCTs). The message service is to provide encrypted digital messages between MCTs and a base station and must be compatible with the QualComm OmniTracs system and DOE/AL's security communications software and hardware. The maintenance service provides preventative and remedial maintenance of the MCTs within the original equipment manufacturer technical specifications and parameters. The intended contractor is QualComm, Inc., 5775 Morehouse Drive, Suite T-780-O, San Diego, CA 92121. See Numbered Note 22. The period of performance will be a base period of one year with four one-year option periods. Responses to this notice of intent should include sufficient technical information to determine if the vendor can meet the needs of the Government. The NAICS code for the procurement is 51334.
