Description

The Baltimore Districts intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price contract with the City of Cumberland, MD for maintenance of both sides of the Potomac River, for that portion of the Cumberland, Maryland and Ridgely, West Virginia Flood Protection Project (approximately 3.1 miles). This sole source procurement is pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The contract will require maintenance of the levee, including but not limited to, grass cutting, brush and debris removal (keeping it free of debris and minor growth), repairs to electrical pumping stations and large sewer outlet gates, repairs to concrete challel lining and to joints between concrete slabs to prevent deterioration of the invert and slope paving, repairs of certain rip rapped areas to prevent undermining and scour of protected areas. Contract award will have a base year and four option periods. The NAICS code is 23493 with a size standard of $27.5 million. Responses received within seven (7) days of publication will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Governmnent not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is NOT a request for proposal.
