Description

United Defense, LP, prime contractor for the Crusader Program is looking for a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) VME-based emulator system for use in controls rapid prototype, hardware-in-the-loop testing, real-time simulation and emulation. The system must include host software which provides turn-key operation with Matrix x/SystemBuild and Matlab models, offer data acquisition and analysis capabilities, and provide a common user interface with support for a wide range of I/O and bus types. It is estimated that 15-25 of these systems will be purchased during the 2002 to 2005 time frame. Please provide 3 copies of information on your product line. The following interface types are to be supported: D/A, A/D, R/D, D/R, Discrete I/O, Optically Isolated Discrete I/O, Serial I/O, (RS232, RS422, RS485, etc), Mil-Std-1533, CanB bus and UBIC bus. SCRAMNet or other means to link multiple emulator systems real-time is required. Please provide published pricing information on emulator hardware and software costs including maintenance costs. Part of the selection process will include an evaluation of the emulator system at United Defense. Please provide information on your ability to provide a loaner copy of your emulator system for a four to six month evaluation.
