Description

The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Solicitation RFP-797-NC-02-0005, for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the Dept. of Defense's requirements for Desipramine HCL and Doxazosin Mesylate. The resulting contract will be a mandatory source for VA and DOD. Desipramine HCL estimated annual usage: 100 mg, 100s, 517 BT; 10 mg, 100s, 1,943 BT; 150 mg, 50s, 35 BT; 25mg, 100s, 2,684 BT; 25 mg, 1,000s, 1,338 BT; 50 mg, 100s, 2,074 BT; 50 mg, 1,000s, 1,600 BT; 75 mg, 100s, 192 BT. Doxazosin Mesylate estimated annual usage: 1 mg, 100s, 560 BT; 1 mg, 500s, 6 BT or 1 mg, 1,000s, 3 BT; 2 mg, 100s, 2,580 BT; 2 mg, 500s, 74 BT or 2mg, 1,000s, 37 BT; 4 mg, 100s, 4,085 BT; 4 mg, 500s, 67 BT or 4mg, 1,000s, 34 BT; 8mg, 100s, 3,900 BT; 8 mg, 500s, 150 BT or 8 mg, 1,000s, 75 BT. An eligible offeror may propose prices for either Desipramine HCL or Doxazosin Mesylate or both. However, offerors must propose a price for all items (stength and quantity) listed for the particular drug. Indian Health Service and Bureau of Prisons may submit additional requirements, but the Solicitation will state whether these two agencies are included, and if so, what their additional requirements are expected to be. The contract period will be for one year, plus four one-year options. Distribution will be through the VA Prime Vendor and DOD's Prime Vendors. The Solicitation will be available for downloading on or about 12/26/01, at the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management's internet website at http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm. Offers will be due 01/28/02.
