Description

FISC Norfolk Det. Phila. intends to acquire, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, textbooks and publications from the U.S. Naval Institute's Naval Institute Press quarterly catalog. The textbooks and publications are required by the Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center (NETPDTC) Pensacola, FL for the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC), the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC), and Navy and Marine Corps libraries. A Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract, with a base year, and four one-year options, is anticipated. The Naval Institute's Naval Institute Press is considered the only supplier of all required textbooks and publications. This contract is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation will be conducted under the provisions for Commercial Items, FAR Part 12. The solicitation will require the submission of cost/price proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia. Note 22 applies. =20
