Description

Holloman Air Force Base, located in Alamogordo, NM will be hosting a Technology Expo ON-SITE on Wednesday, March 13, 2002. Holloman Air Force Base is home to the 49th Fighter Wing. Their Mission is to support National Security objectives as directed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The 49th Wing can rapidly mobilize and deploy F-117 Stealth Fighters and personnel worldwide to meet peacetime and wartime contingencies. The Wing also provides morale, welfare and administrative support for over 6,000 assigned personnel. Some technical tenants located here include Air Force Space Forecast Center and Defense Mapping Agency. Some technologies of interest for this event include: Plotters, Internet/Intranet, Multimedia, CD-ROM, Telecommunications, Virtual Reality, Scanners, LAN/WAN, Color Printers, Imaging, Storage Devices, Presentation Systems, Facsimile Machines, Workstations, Laptops/Notebooks, Macintosh Systems and Software, Project Management, Testing Equipment, and Network Security.
