Description

The Naval Air Systems Command anticipates awarding a sole source contract to Raytheon, 2501 W. University, McKinney, TX 75071 for the AN-AYK-23/APC-137C(V)5 Radar Interface Kit. This action will be negotiated on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements) Raytheon is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and integrator of the AN-AYK-23/APC-137C (V)5 into the S-3B Surveillance System Upgrade (SSU) project aircraft. Raytheon is the only source that possesses the necessary technical expertise, engineering drawings and data to provide the requirements in the required timeframe. See number Note: 22.
