Description

All construction required for the erection of one (1), 100,000 barrel steel-lined concrete cut-and-cover fuel storage tank, pump station and fuel separator facilities, and relocate the existing 12-connection truck offload header and pump house. Work to include concrete tank encasement, a leak detection system, an emergency generator, cathodic protection, security lighting, above grade valve stations, automatic tank gauging, interior epoxy coating, a slow fill mode, installation of necessary fire protection support equipment; site improvement consisting of storm drainage, electrical and communication distribution systems, asphalt concrete pavement and concrete sidewalk; fuel piping and associate distribution system, testing and commissioning of fuel system and miscellaneous items, including disposal of debris, and related miscellaneous items necessary for a complete and usable facility. Construction site is at Yokota Air Base, Japan. Existing fuel facilities must remain operational during construction. Construction advertising method: Request for Proposal. Proposals will be evaluated and award made without discussions unless discussions are determined to be necessary. Basis for award will be set forth in the request for proposal. The estimated cost of the project is between 1,000,000,000 and 2,500,000,000 Japanese Yen. Solicitation to be issued o/a January 10, 2002. See Note 12.
