Description
DESC: INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO MOTOROLA UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; the Government will consider all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis but no later than 27 December 2001, at 1200 PST. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered procurement sensitive. Services to be procured are for the purchase of a deployable trunking system required to interface with an existing Motorola designed Motorola built system. The existing system uses Motorola Equipment and Motorola's Proprietary Trunking Protocol- and the new system must also. The deployable trunking system must be compatible with existing Motorola Smartnet 6809 wide band analog trunking system currently deployed. System must utilize a 3600-baud control channel compatible with existing system. Repeaters must support Project 25 narrowband capability as defined per DOD LMR directive. System must be compatible in the trunking mode to support communications with existing Motorola subscriber radios currently deployed at Camp Pendleton. System must be able to be programmed via existing program system keys currently deployed at Camp Pendleton. System must be form fit compatible with existing Motorola trunking system RF device (Quantar) so that RF elements of the land based system will be interchangeable with deployed system. Request one complete package of installation, product, electrical wiring, and warranty. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Interested parties shall furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available to the Contracting Officer NLT December 27, 2001, otherwise an order will be placed with the above named contractor. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror's ability to meet all requirements.
