- Description
- CBD Announcement Number D-303 SN511806 posted in CBDNet on October 30, 2001, and printed on November 1, 2001 for sole source solicitation N00024-02-R-6308 is cancelled. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a competitive solicitation for the procurement of the MH-60S Helicopter System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase of the Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNS), a non-developmental item to the maximum extent possible. Notionally, the AMNS will explosively neutralize unburied bottom close tethered and moored sea mines that are impractical or unsafe to counter using existing minesweeping/mine neutralization techniques. The AMNS functions consist of reacquisition of a previously detected mine-like object, command and control, neutralization, helicopter deployable, training mode and operating software. This effort will consist of developing interfaces and hardware, and integrating the MH-60S AMNS into the MH-60S helicopter, common console, and Carriage, Stream, Tow and Recovery System (CSTRS). The operator control console integration effort will consist of hosting the command and control software to the developed common console. The common console provides all the necessary operator interfaces to monitor and control training and/or neutralization activity. The CSTRS will be utilized for MH-60S carriage, launch and recovery of the AMNS and for launch and recovery of any water interface hardware that may be necessary for positive control of the vehicles. All interested companies should provide a written statement of interest (including facility security information) to be listed on the N00024-02-R-6310 bidders list, and addressed to the Naval Sea Systems Command, Attn: P. Ayanian, 1333 Isaac Hull Avenue SE Stop 2050, Washington Navy Yard, DC 20376-2050 via facsimile to 202-781-4773. Electronic communications are encouraged at AyanianP@navsea.navy.mil. All communications should only be directed to Jack Dennard at 202-781-2846, or Peggy Ayanian at 202-781-2814. NAVSEA expects to issue a request for proposal on or about 31 December 2001
