Description

Under the authority of FAR Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, the United States Property and Fiscal Office for California, intends to award a sole source contract to Southern California Gas Company for the replacement of existing gas lines. Design and insta llation will be in full compliance with standards referenced by the Department of Transportation (DOT) Title 49 CFR, Parts 191, 192 -- Transportation of Natural Gas and Other Gas by Pipeline; minimum Federal Safety Standards; and, California Public Utilitie s Commission (CPUC) General Order (GO) 112-E, Pipeline Safety Section and GS 58-A, Standards for Gas Service. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available a nd telephone requests will not be honored. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the respondee can meet the requirements listed herein and that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination not to compete the proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. Absent response to this notice within fifteen (15) days, an award may be made to Southern California Gas Co.
