Description
NSN: 2840-01-199-0377 P/N: 1359M39G01 Item Description: The Stage 2 LPT Inner Nozzle Seal is a segmented honeycomb assembly that has a metal backing. The backing branches out to provide anchoring points to attach the seal to the engine and an attaching point for the honeycomb material. The function is to prevent the airflow loss between the spacer seal and the stage 2 nozzle seal. The loss of the air across the spacer seal results in engine performance degradation. Dimensions are as follows: The inner seal is approx 1.5 inches in overall width and 0.7 inches overall height. The backing material is 0.050-0.060 thick. The inner seal is built on a 24 degree arch and 10.105 inch centerline radius. The material consists of Hast X. The honeycomb is Hast X .0027-.0033 inches in thickness. Applicable to: F110 Engine Destination: Tinker AFB, OK Delivery: 721 ea 31 Dec 02 Qty: 721 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 07 January 2001. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 07 February 2002. The anticipated award date will be 28 February 2002. First Article Test Required. This requirement is a 100% Small Business set-aside. No telephone requests. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
