Description

Study between a Tropical Cyclone and Environmental Vertical Wind Shear. The observational component will be based on the Camex 1998, 2001, and USWRP Hurricane Landfall 2001 Program. The numerical phase will be used to examine various physical processes associated with the interaction between a tropical cyclone and verfical wind shear. This project is required by the Naval Postgraduate School. Request for oral quotation from University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, is anticipated. This is the single provider with the requisite capabilities in all required aspects and also familiar with the use of mesoscale models in the study of hurricanes in both real and idealized environments.
