Description
YWCA/Los Angeles Job Corps Center is requesting bids for computer repair and related services subcontracted. This solicitation is set-aside only for qualified HUBZone small business concerns to compete. "HUBZone small business concerns", as used in this clause, means a small business concern that apears on the List of Qualified HUBZone Small Business concerns maintained by the Small Business Administration. Bids must be received by January 11, 2002. Bids can be mailed to Los Angeles Job Corps Center, 1106 So. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015, Attention: Telly Polanco, or by fax 213-746-6984. Prospective bidders may address technically-oriented questions to: MIS Coordinator. The YWCA/Los Angeles Job Corps Center reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any or all informalities. Bids that are not HUBZone small business concerns shall not be considered. SOW: I) Project Identification: a. Computer repair, diagnostics, trouble-shooting, network repair/administration and related equipment (printer, monitors, scanners, etc.) needing repair and/or other services. Troubleshooting and repair on Center if it is possible. b. Hot-Swap machine with minimum configurations of windows. c. Network troubleshooting for NT networks (OA&P/HRD/FINANCE) and Novell Wan. d. Annual preventive maintenance services on all PC's and monitors to be conducted between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Minimum preventive maintenance requirements are: 1) Check form memory failing. 2) Check hard drive failing. 3) Check for CD Rom failing. 4) Check for floppy/zip drive failing. 5) Check power supply. 6)Check cooling fan and CPU fans. 7) Check modem bios for upgrades. 8) Update printer drives. 9) Network cards/HRD/Finance/OA@P. 10)Check vide cards. 11) Check keyboards and mouse, 12) Check hard drive for virus contamination. 13) Center has the option to add new acquisition of computers and monitors. II) Location of Work Site: Primary site is the Los Angeles Job Corps Center consisting of six buildings in the downtown of Los Angeles-area, one site in East Los Angeles, and one site in Hollywood, California. III) Daily Oversight of Contractor Assigned Staff: Selected vendor personnel will report to the MIS Coordinator or the Supervisor, Property, LA Job Corps Center, 1031 So. Hill St, Los Angeles. IV) Overview of Specifics Tasks: The following list is not all exhaustive and future needs may warrant changes as the Customer needs develop and evolve during the life of the contract period. a. Selected vendor must present written or other documented capability for Network administration for two NT network encompassing all related tasks such as but not limited to backups, user administration, some basic-level training of staff/new staff, software administration, etc. b. Selected vendor must be present routinely on Center Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. c. Selected vendor must present capability for technical troubleshooting of hardware and software issues. d. Selected vendor must be available and certify ability to meet customer off hours from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m, Monday through Friday. e. Selected vendor must present written certification of all levels of CISCO certification or provide sufficient documented evidence that he/she has the capability to provide CISCO certified services. f. Selected Vendor must certify and provide written proof of availability of a minimum of 10 Saturday and Sunday during the period of this contract. As well when customer needs changes Selected Vendor must demonstrate his/her capability to meet additional Saturday and Sunday scheduling when provided at least 72 hours notice. g. Selected vendor must provide services for Saturday and Sunday as needd and provide bid price for weekends and out of normal working hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. h. Selected vendor must certify that on average he/she has the resources to diagnose and provide repair solutions, for in-shop repairs, to the customer with 48 hours or next regular (Monday through friday) business days. i. Selected vendor must certify that one technician is available on site daily, Monday through Friday. Also, that up two technicians, with customer providing 48 hours notice, would be available on site for special and other demanding needs as notified by either the MIS Coordinator (213-741-5350) or the Contract Administrator (213- 741-5311). j. Selected vendor must provide fixed-hour rates per technician that are valid through the end of the contract period. k. Selected vendor must provide how the issue of parts and transportation (pickup/delivery) of equipment will be price quoted. l. Selected vendor must provide some basic level network user training for users. There will be no classroom training. m. Selected vendor is responsible for paying for parking in and around LA Job Corps Center while working at any of the Center locations. n. Selected vendor will required to lift, pickup, remove, etc. equipment and Customer will provide equipment to assist in the transport of equipment needing relocating and installation.
