Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined synopsis/solicitation number is SP4700-02-T-0013, and is issued for informational purposes as a sole source requirement with L & Z Transportation / White Top Cab Company in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(2). This announcement and its incorporated clauses and provisions are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This request is for the purchase of commercial taxi service for the Defense Logistics Agency Headquarters Complex (DLA HQC), Fort Belvoir, VA, and its supported activities in the national capital region (NCR). The contractor shall be a licensed Fairfax County taxi company and provide approximately 85 one-way trips per month, averaging 20 miles per trip (one-way), with an average 1.5 passengers per trip. The trips will be made between Fort Belvoir and various locations within the NCR. The contractor shall ensure sufficient taxis are set-aside for DLA HQC scheduled and emergency calls. The period of performance will be 01 December 2001 through 30 November 2002. A detailed Statement of Work is available by contacting the point of contact (POC). The following FAR?s apply to this combined synopsis/solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-2, FAR 52.212-3, FAR 52.212-4, and FAR 52.212-5.
