Description
Time charter of a U.S. flag NON self-sustaining cellular container vessel(s) to move 1200 20 ft. containers (+/- 10% chop) of ammo WORLDWIDE for Exercise Turbo Cads. Vessel must sustain a laden speed of at least 16 knots. The container vessel would be involved with another exercise called JLOTS (Joint Logistics over the Shore). During this operation the vessel will make a stop off the U.S. West Coast. This stop will be the JLOTS site in which the vessel would be moored alongside a crane vessel (TAC-S) and then discharge a number of containers using the TAC-S vessel?s cranes. This TAC-S vessel will then place containers into small boats for transshipment to the shore operation. Once awarded a contract the contractor will need to attend the Final Planning Conference (8-11 Jan 02, location will be U.S. West Coast). This will provide additional information with regard to the operations of this lift in CONUS and South West Asia. Place/Range of Delivery: North Arabian Sea. Place/Range of Redelivery: Worldwide. Charter Period: About 150 days with Government option to redeliver after 60 days with 10 days prior notice. Laydays: 02-03 February 2002.
