Description

Engineering support services associated with the application, improvement, and enhancement of the Lockheed Martin-supplied 404 MHz and 449MHz Wind Profiler Systems (WPS). Tasks will include modification, both major and minor, of the WPS and their related sub-assemblies, software, modules, and test equipment; performance of special tests and evaluations as related to WPS utilization, improvement, and enhancement; maintenance and repair of the WPS and components at the contractor facility, WPS locations, the National Reconditioning Center in Kansas City, MO, and other locations, as required. NDBC intends to negotiate only with Lockheed Martin, Ocean, Radar & Sensor Systems, Syracuse, NY, as the 404 MHz and 449 MHz WPS were designed and built by Lockheed Martin under competitive contracts, and all components built by subcontractors were from Lockheed Martin specifications and designs. Lockheed Martin has personnel available in all required disciplines, as well as, test equipment and facilities required. The Time and Material contract will be for a one-year period with options for two additional years. See Note 22.
