- 1. This is an unrestricted Simplified Acquisition Procedure. 2. The work includes furnishing labor, equipment and materials to remove existing insulation from steam & condensate piping, bagging of all material and properly disposing of same; reinsulate with new insulation at Building 292, Coddington Point, Ney Hall Galley, Naval Station, Newport, Rhode Island. 3. The quote will be issued January 7, 2002. 4. The quote opening date will be February 7, 2002. 5. The NAIC Code is 235110 and the Small Business Size Standard is $11.5M. 6. The estimated cost range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. 7. There is a non-refundable charge for the quote package which contains no drawings of $2.00. 8. Offerors interested in obtaining the quote package for this project must submit their request along with a certified check, money order or VISA in the amount of $2.00 to: DEFENSE PRINTING SERVICE (DAPS), 47 Chandler St., Newport, RI 02841-1712. Each check must be made payable to the SUPERINTENDENT OF DOCUMENTS and annotated with the applicable Request for Quotation. One quote package will be sent via First Class Mail. Any check received without a Request for Quotation Number or not made out to the Superintendent of Documents will be RETURNED UNPROCESSED. NO CASH, COMPANY OR PERSONAL CHECKS will be accepted. 9. For further information on mailing the Request for Quotation package by expedited courier service or using VISA Credit Card for payment, please call DAPS at 1-401-841-3183/3184. No requests for quote packages will be accepted without proper payment to DAPS. 10. The ROICC Contracts Office will no longer provide copies to contractors who visit or fax a request. 11. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1995, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised for solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror INELIGIBLE for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the website at www.ccr2000.com or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204.73. Offerors should submit verification of their firm's registration in the CCR Database with their proposal. 12. The DAVIS-BACON ACT applies to this Request for Quotation. 13.
