Description

The US Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005, plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase of Services for Remedial and Preventative Maintenance for IPE Equipment located in various locations within ARL,APG, MD for the period of 01 Jan through 31 Dec 2002. A complete equipment listing will be included in the Solicitation. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). ARL intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 with small business, Advanced Technology for Industry, Ltd, Christiansburg, VA. The government intends to acquire commercial services using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing via FAX 410-278-6522 to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/ca pabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis an d will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions. The government will award on the basis determined most advantageous to the Government, price, past performance, and other factors considered.
