Description
Sources please provide cage code, size of business, POC and email address. Physical and Functional Descriptions. Brush Deflector, P/N 68D13208: 4.5 inches length and 6 inches in diameter, approximately 3 pounds. A cone-shaped cage of flat bar stock desi gned to prevent premature functioning of M904E2 fuze by deflecting small branches and leaves before bomb impact. Booster, Auxiliary (Fuze Booster), P/N 69D7279: 2.6 inches length and 2.9 inches in diameter, approximately 1 pound. Nose and Tail Auxiliary Booster BBU-23/B. The auxiliary booster consists of Comp B-3 charge enclosed in a cylindrical casing of Polyurethane. A 1/8 inch rubber space is attached to one end of the booster. A nylon pull tab for handling is cast in the explosive on the rubber spac er end of booster. The auziliary booster provides sufficient boosting pressure to detonate the bomb main charge.
