Description: The project work is to raise approximately 1 mile of existing U.S. Highway 98 about 1 foot, install 10 concrete box culverts and a 350-foot composite bridge at locations along the 1-mile project. The project site is immediately east of the Kissimmee River , Okeechobee County, Florida. Estimated construction time is 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. Best value will be determined by a trade-off between past performance and price. Past performance is slightly more important than price. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Solicitation will be issued on or about 15 January 2002 and close on or about 14 February 2002. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Offerors will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost.
