Description

The Department of Human Services, State of Hawaii, is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified parties/organizations to provide fiscal agent services to the Department of Human Services, Med-QUEST Division (MQD) in coordination with the implementation of the Hawaii Prepaid Medical Management Information System (HPMMIS). In October 2002, the MQD intends to implement a new claims processing system with the Arizona Medicaid Agency, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). The two states have formed a partnership which, over time, will have AHCCCS managing the information system which processes data for the MQD's managed care and fee-for-service programs. The fiscal agent contractor obtained through this RFP will utilize the HPMMIS system. The term of the contract shall be from May 1, 2002 through June 30, 2007. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available from December 28, 2001.
