Description

MECHANICAL DREDGING, MISSISSIPPI AND MINNESOTA RIVERS, MINNESOTA, WISCONSIN, IOWA, ILLINOIS, and MISSOURI. Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment necessary for dredging with a backhoe, dragline, or o ther mechanical equipment on marine plant and transporting to dredged material placement site. Contract is for a base period of 1 year with 2 additional one-year option periods. Estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 for the base period. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS; North American Identifier Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 234990 and the small business size standard is $17 million. In accordance with the size standard requirements, all bidders are advised that to be considered a small business concern, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging con cern. Plans and specifications are expected to be available approximately 25 Jan Dec 02, with bids due approximately 25 Feb 02. The solicitation is available only by CD-ROM.
