Description

The Army Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate with Weeks Marine, Inc. to retain their services to move Mooring Barge 2 (MB2) from Fort Mifflin, Philadelphia, PA to an area in the vicinity of the Killcohook Containment Facility, Lehigh Avenue, Salem Coun ty, NJ. MB2 is 260 feet x 60 feet x 3 feet 7 inches draft with displacement of 1,845 long tons. At this site, the contractor will be required to connect two (2) forty-foot sections of rubber dredge pipe to the discharge end of the MB2 and to the end of a submerged steel dredge pipeline. The Contractor will provide all materials, tools, services, labor and equipment (including a crane barge with a minimum 110-foot boom with a lifting capacity of 50 tons, tugs, work barge, welding machine, penumatic tools and hand tools) to accomplish the job. All work is to be accomplished in coordination with the government representative not later than 1600 hours, January 16, 2002.
