Description

Identification, design and construction of Pentagon Reservation site enhancements to provide additional set back distances and to better control approach access to significant facilities throughout the Reservation. Ancillary (non-security) site improvements would also be accommodated. Work shall consist of, but not be limited to highway and Pentagon access road realignments, parking lot modifications, installation of security devices, utility relocations. This will be a two phased deign-build best value source selection procedure IAW FAR 36.3. Phase I will consist of Request for Qualification (RFQ) leading selection of up to 3 offerors who will compete under sequential Phase II RFP's for up to 5 years. Phase II will consist of Requests for Proposals (RFP's) leading to contract awards. Due to the complex nature of the anticipated projects as described above, the offerors/design-build teams will be required to demonstrate relevant experience and capabilities. The first Phase II RFP is projected to be for a new truck/delivery entrance lane into the Pentagon Remote Delivery Facility along Route 27 with protective security features. Relocation of Route 110 to reroute traffic from the Pentagon may also be contemplated under another Phase II RFP.
