Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation and 501(c)(3) organization, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform environmental cleanup at two landfill sites in the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Scope of services may include but is not limited to: (a) excavation and removal of fill soil, building debris and other waste; (b) offsite recycling or disposal; (c) site regrading as needed to provide drainage control and to blend the sites into the surrounding terrain; and (d) erosion control measures. Estimated start date mid October 2002. Estimated Cost: between $3,000,000.00 and $6,000,000.00. Minimum qualifications include: insurance, bonding capacity, and Class A General Engineering Contractor?s License with Hazardous Waste and Remedial Actions Certification. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. Qualified small businesses (including small disadvantaged businesses, minority- and women-owned small businesses) are encouraged to respond. The Presidio Trust strongly encourages prime contractors to utilize small businesses, SDBs, HUBZone SBCs, minority- and women-owned small businesses to the fullest extent consistent with efficient contract performance. The Presidio Trust is a wholly owned federal government corporation and is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
