- THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BEST VALUE SOURCE SELECTION SOLICITATION. For specific technical questions concer ning this project, please contact Mr. Alou C. Rice by FAX: 251-694-3626. This project provides new facilities for the Ecuadorean Army at the Elvis Molina detachment near General Farfan. The work includes design and construction of a boat ramp, metal boat hangar, reinforced concrete and brick barracks, command building, kitchen/dining and arms room and guard shacks. Supporting facilities include water system, sanitary sewer system, power, perimeter fence, road access and associated site work. Estimated cost range of the project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation/bid documents should be available for download on or about 28 June 2007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220. Mr. Ge ne L. Note No. 1: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicitat ions. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information.
