Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Boulder City, NV, has a requirement for Grouting/Sealing of the Hoover Dam Visitor Center Pedestrian Tunnels. The work requirement is to supply, labor, materials, supervision, and equipment to complete grouting and/or sealing in the top (crown) of tunnels used for pedestrian access to Hoover Dam. The goal of this work is to divert seepage water from the top (crown) of the tunnels to the walls of the tunnels. The work includes, but is not limited to: " Supplying, transporting, storing, and mixing grout and/or sealant materials. " Drilling holes, placing grout pipes, injecting grout and/or sealant. Chemical grout and/or sealant shall be used as required to stop leakage of water into the crown of the tunnels. The various tunnels included in the scope of this contract are all used for pedestrian access and are referred to as the balcony, contractor, and mechanical adits (tunnels). The goal of this work is to dry out the natural rock surfaces at the roof of these adits, allowing the existing moisture and seepage to migrate down the walls of the tunnels and into existing drain trenches. The requirement is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is open to full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 238110. The size standard is $13 million. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about June 25, 2007, with quotes due on our about July 19, 2007; however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The RFQ will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov. Quoters are reminded that they must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration to be considered for award.
