Description
The large ultrasonic cleaner is uniquely designed to clean air cooler components and pressurization valves based on its dimensional capacity and range of ultrasonic output. It shall be both electrically and pneumatically operated, and shall include multiple frequency ultrasonics. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying ?commercial items? as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The unit shall incorporate the features described below: Facility Interface Requirements: Overall Dimensions: Approximately 70? wide x 40? deep x 76? high Electrical Requirements: 208/220 volt 3-phase with neutral (5 wire system). Compressed Air Requirements: Not to exceed 19 CFM, for the drain pump. Minimum Requirements: Tank Dimensions: Minimum 36? long x 24? wide x 24? deep. Weight Capacity: Minimum 450 lbs. Draining and Filling: Draining and filling shall be via a stainless steel ball valve. Shall include a 1.25? drain with ball valve, and 1.25? plugged fill port for connection to fresh water supply. Ultrasonics: Ultrasonic power shall be provided by a minimum of forty eight (48) 40 kHz transducers mounted into 4 submersible transducer packs, mounted on the bottom of the tank. Devices/mechanisms shall be provided to minimize production of standing waves and transducer power compensation for changing tank loads. The unit shall utilize multiple frequency ultrasonics to remove difficult contaminants and for cleaning of complex geometries. Transducers: Natural frequency transducers shall be used. Digital Ultrasonic Timer: The timer shall monitor the entire cleaning cycle, from 0.1 seconds to 999 hours. Heating Element: Total ultrasonic power minimum 4,800 Watts. Seven Day Timer and Heating System: The included seven day timer shall allow automatic start up of the heating system at any time of day. The system shall include a 7500 watt cove mounted immersion heating system. The heating system shall be designed not to interfere with the loading and unloading of the components to be cleaned. Pump Drain System: The tank shall be drained via an on-board PTFE bellows air-actuated double diaphragm pump capable of pumping 10 GPM. The pump shall be self priming, and shall require a compressed air supply to operate. Particulate Filtration System: This filtration system shall include both 50 and 10 micron filter cartridges and stainless steel plumbing. The design shall allow for the capture and removal of both floating and settling particles. Agitation System: The unit shall include a pneumatically operated system capable of lowering parts into and removing them from the solution and agitating components both during and following ultrasonic cleaning. The design shall enable the parts to be agitated intermittently or continuously, with adjustable time periods that shall be settable by the operator. The agitation system shall be capable of cleaning parts of up to 450 lbs. Agitation system components shall include precision stainless guide shafts, pillow block bearings, a pneumatic cylinder with integrated pneumatic end cushions, and stainless steel processing rack. Stroke speed, stroke duration, dwell duration, and stroke length shall all be controllable by the operator. Liquid Level Control System: The system shall include a liquid level control circuit that will automatically cut off power to both the heater and the ultrasonics in the event the solution falls below a particular level. Parts Basket: A stainless steel mesh parts basket shall be designed for carrying miscellaneous parts of up to 50 lbs in weight. The basket shall measure at least 34? x 22? x 8?. Transformer: The unit shall include a 440 VAC transformer in order to convert a standard 208/220 VAC system to 480 volt 3-phase power. Construction: The large ultrasonic cleaner shall be housed in a painted tubular steel frame. Plumbing shall be stainless steel. Access to all internally mounted components shall be via stainless steel access panels. A stainless steel hinged lid shall be provided. Workmanship/Safety Standards: The ultrasonic cleaning system shall be in compliance with NFPA 79 and NEC standards. Warranty: Warranty coverage shall be a minimum of 2 years on parts and labor. Transducers shall have warranty coverage for 10 years against bond failure, depolarization, or element deterioration. Quotations are being requested, written solicitation will not be issued. the following additional information is required: company name and address, phone and fax numbers, payment terms, size of business, delivery, cage code, duns number, tax ID number. all responses may be emailed to Susan.clegg@navy.mil or faxed to 732-323-4822. Closing date is 07 Jun 27.
