- Description
- The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau, (BBG/IBB) has a requirement for a single contractor to provide electrical testing, thermograph survey (Infra-Scan) and maintenance of electrical equipment at various worldwide BBG/IBB transmitting stations. The contract shall consist of all management, technical expertise, personnel, supervision, test equipment, tools, supplies, materials, shipping, transportation and accommodation to inspect, perform manufacturer?s recommended preventive maintenance procedures and perform minor repairs, test, calibrate and verify operation in accordance with International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) specifications and manufacturers equipment specifications at up to 2 domestic and 8 overseas transmitting stations for the following equipment: 1) automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control devices; 2) electrical power generators; 3) emergency battery systems; 4) low voltage switchgear; 5) medium and low voltage fused disconnect switches; 6) medium and low voltage motors, pumps, fans associated with building systems; 7) medium and low voltage transformers; 8) motor control centers; 9) motor starters for 5HP motors and above; 10) neutral grounding resistors; and 11) uninterruptible power. The base contract will consist of the work at the IBB Shortwave (SW) and Medium Wave (MW) Transmitting Stations at Selebi Phikwe, Botswana. All other locations will be optional line items that will be added by modification to the contract on an as required basis. This is a full and open competitive procurement to establish a firm-fixed price contract. It is anticipated that the Request For Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the FBO web site on or about April 16, 2007. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notification or otherwise pay for information or inquiry. Telephone responses of a firm's statements of interest, capabilities, and pertinent experience will not be accepted by the BBG. All written expressions of interest shall make reference to this Notice by its title, number, and date of the publication. This Public Notice is not a RFP, IFB or RFQ.
