Description
PREVIOUS SYNOPSIS IS HEREBY AMENDED TO CORRECT POINT OF CONTACT INFORMATION FOR ROBIN GIBSON, CONTRACT SPECIALIST: 850-882-8787, X3063, FAX 850-882-1003. The Air Armament Center (AAC) Joint Programmable Fuze (JPF) Program Office, 679th Armament Systems Squadron, plans to contract with Kaman Dayron, Inc. for continued technical support that will provide JPF with engineering, production, management, and logistics support required to ensure technical baselines remain current and effective. Support directed under this contract also encompasses studies on the feasibility of future growth requirements and changes. This support is required through completion of JPF production plus two additional years (estimated through FY12). This effort is anticipated to be awarded under multiple contract types such as Time and Material and Firm Fixed Price for a period not to exceed 5 years. This contract is anticipated to be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Tasks include: studies and analyses related to current or projected enhancements to JPF system performance; simulation and modeling; evaluation of policy, budget, and parts obsolescence impact on production engineering baselines; analysis of technical issues arising between JPF production hardware and previously integrated weapon systems and/or aircraft; and inspection of non-warranty repair items and recommendations for repair, replacement, or scrap of non-serviceable assets. This anticipated action is intended to provide a contractual vehicle to facilitate support tasks directly related to JPF production. Kaman Dayron, Inc. is the only known company that has the detailed knowledge and expertise necessary to provide the required support; however, the Contracting Officer will consider responses from other contractors who express interest and capability to fulfill these requirements. For contractual information concerning this synopsis, please contact Mr. Steve Wall, Contracting Officer, at (850) 882-3525 extension 3111. For technical information, contact Mr. Michael Campbell, Program Manager, at (850) 882-3525 extension 2328. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or the Program Manager. For any other concerns, interested parties may call the AAC Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph A. Lanni (850) 882-0662, AAC/CV, 101 West D Avenue, Suite 116, Eglin AFB FL 32542-5495.
