Description
This is announcement is successor to the pre-solicitation announcement posted 1/14/2009 for replacing the elevator control system at the Bakersfield, CA Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). Work includes, but is not limited to: Removing the existing Otis elevator control system, AC drive motor, elevator door closer, landing system switches, car operating panel, and car top inspection station. Furnish and install one new motor to gear box coupling and base adapter plate, AC drive motor, microprocessor based programmable elevator controller, unintended car movement device (a.k.a. rope gripper), hoistway wiring and a new traveling cable, landing system, and car operating panel. This project is 100% set-aside for Small Business contractors. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238290, and has a size standard of $14.0 Million The prime contractor must perform, using its own organization, work equivalent to at least 40 percent of the total amount of work under the contract on the site. See clause 3.2.2.3-41, Performing Work. Award is anticipated in February 2010 with construction starting June 2010. Magnitude of construction: Between $100,000 and $500,000 Contract duration for completion of all work shall be 90 calendar days for submittals and material ordering, and 30 days for construction. *IMPORTANT NOTICE* - American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Contractor Reporting Requirements are summarized below: Contractors that receive any awards funded by the Recovery Act must report information including, but not limited to, (a) the dollar amount of contractor invoices, (b) the supplies delivered and services performed and the amount for which the contractor has invoiced, (c) an assessment of the completion status of the work, (d) an estimate of jobs created and retained as a result of the Recovery Act funded award, (e) names and total compensation of each of the five most highly compensated officers for the calendar year in which the contract is awarded, (f) and specific information on first-tier subcontractors.
