- Description
- The work includes constructing the Bayou Dupre sector gate structure located on the flood side of the existing structure. The pile-founded new sector gate structure will be tied into flood control levees by pile founded T-walls with a sheet pile cutoff wall and scour protection provided at the transition zones. This T-wall transition will tie to the proposed LPV 145 and 146 T-walls constructed by others. The project will include a generator building, control house, control panel, primary and back-up generators for operation, timber guidewalls and dolphins. During construction a flow bypass system will be required while the channel is blocked by the temporary retaining structure (cofferdam).
