- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR HYDRAULICPOWER SUPPLY STATION. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. Thisnotice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendmentwill not be issued.The purpose of this amendment is to post revised drawing and extend the solicitation. Dueto errors in previously posted drawing document MED03191, NASA has corrected and postednew/revised drawing. This solicitation will re-open the opportunity for potentialvendors to submit technical questions in writing by 1/29/10. Please submit any and alltechnical question to Pamela Jackson, DFI Inc. @ pamela.l.jackson@nasa.gov by 4:30 CT on1/29/10. This will be a onetime question and answer period. Questions and answers willbe post as a modification to the solicitation on or before 2/12/10. All offers will needto be submitted in writing to Pamela Jackson, DFI Inc. @ pamela.l.jackson@nasa.gov on orbefore 2/26/10, 4:30 CT time.The due date for receipt of offers is extended to 2/26/10.***PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CHANGES THAT WERE MADE TO DRAWING DOCUMENT MED03191***Change 1:The pilot connection for the accumulator discharge valves was moved from just in front ofthe valve to upstream of the output logic valve. Reason for Change 1:In the previous configuration, the valves would not actuate when their respective pumpswere powered down, preventing the accumulators from discharging and presenting a safetyissue.Change 2:Check valves added to the accumulator discharge lines.Reason for Change 2:Prevent backflow through non-operational circuits when others are operating.Change 3:Check valves added to the logic valve pilot connections to the return line.Reason for Change 3:Prevent return line pressurization from affecting the position of logic valve position.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 1/6/09.
